2023 2nd Installment Real Estate & Personal Property Tax Bill Alert

The 2023 second installment for Middlesex County Real Estate tax and annual Personal Property tax bills are scheduled to be mailed on October 13, 2023. The due date for payment of these bills is Tuesday, December 5, 2023. By law, payments made in the Treasurer's Office or postmarked with the date of Tuesday, December 5, 2023, or before, will be accepted as timely. Accounts remaining unpaid after December 5, 2023, will be subject to additional charges as provided by the Code of Virginia. Please check your bills for completeness upon receipt. By law, failure to receive a bill does not relieve the taxpayer of any additional charges that will accrue for failure to pay by the due date.

The Treasurer's Office is in the Woodward Building at 877 General Puller Highway in Saluda. For your convenience, a drop box for 24-hour payment service is available at this location. The Treasurer’s Office will be open Monday through Friday to the public. Staff will be available to collect payments during normal business hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. You may pay your taxes in person with cash, check, money order, debit or credit card (to include a convenience fee). For your convenience - Taxes can be paid at Primis Bank located on 291 Virginia Street in Urbanna or 11290 General Puller Highway in Hartfield, or at C&F Bank located at 2608 General Puller Highway at Cooks Corner in Saluda, VA before December 5, 2023, and accepted as timely. TRUIST bank will no longer accept payments. You can also pay online at https://www.co.middlesex.va.us and then clicking on the "Onlline Payments" blue button. After December 5, 2023, payments can only be processed with the Treasurer’s office.
