We came up with a bucket list of 17 fun things-to-do in Middlesex County. Pick a few of these unique experiences or try them all!
1. Virginia Motor Speedway
Feel the adrenaline when the hum of the race cars speed by the stadium on a dirt race track. Seasonal races are April through September and mud bogs are in May and October. Family friendly and concessions available. Meet the drivers with a Pit Pass!

2. Deltaville Baseball
Enjoy America's favorite summer pastime in a 1948 ballpark that makes you feel like you've walked back in time: the pace a little slower, people little friendlier and a good old fashioned ball game! Host of the Deltaville Deltas baseball team.

3. Restaurants You've Got to Try

4. Bethpage Miniature Golf and Ice Creamery
Wild, wacky "Cowtopia" themed 18 hole miniature golf. Bethpage was a dairy farm after the Civil War which inspired the whimsical cow design featuring:
- Cow train
- High-flying cows
- Hippy cows
- Mad scientist cows
- "Mooseum", and more
Afterwards, have a treat with a selection of over 20 different ice cream flavors and homemade waffle cones. Open April through November.

5. Visit the LOVE Sign for a Photo Opportunity

Get into the spirit of Virginia is for Lovers! Be sure to bring your camera for some one of a kind photo opportunities in front of the LOVE sign and post to social media using the hashtag: #LOVEVA. Stop in at the Middlesex County Museum or have a picnic in Chesty Puller Park while you're there. Plan your next picnic beside the Deltaville LOVE sign at the Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park.
6. Kayak or Paddleboard

8. Urbanna Oyster Festival
These top picks are events you'll want to add to your bucket list. Who else has cocktail boat races, the official state oyster festival and waterfront concerts under the stars of the bay?
Virginia's official oyster festival that's hosts 60,000 people to celebrate oysters! Urbanna opens up its streets for parades, oyster shucking contests, waterfront pirates, ecology education, and oysters any way you like it: roasted, steamed, raw, stewed, and fried.

14. Museum in the Streets

15. Piankatank River Golf Club
The Piankatank River Golf Club is one of the most unique and beautiful courses in Virginia's golf community.
